Mission Accomplished!

I'm back in England now but I'm going to keep this blog online for myself and others to look back on and also for any Hitchers looking to make the hitch in coming years. I have also gone back and added my photos from the whole trip so I can have everything in one place :)

I thoroughly, whole-heartedly, can't-say-it-enough recommend it to anyone and everyone. It was the most exhilarating  liberating, randomly spontaneous experience of my life and the kindness of everyone throughout the trip will forever be in my heart. Especially the French - contrary to popular stereotype!!

Here's the URL to Link Community Development's website - the Charity that made this possible for me and the 800-900 other hitch-hikers this year in 2008 too - and the Rough Guides website for you to enjoy your much earned holiday at your destination:

Stats:
  • Distance: 1700 miles to Morocco through France and Spain
  • Time: 6 days.
  • Journeys
    • 13 x car rides
    • 1 x 13 hour train journey from Barca to Malaga - we found it so difficult to hitch in Spain, mainly because it's illegal to walk on the motorways, and all the service stations were ON the motorways instead of before them like in France.
  • Money raised: £360 (including gift tax) for LCD
